Kanak Bhavan mandir in the city is dedicated to Lord Rama and Goddess Sita. The temple is said to be the wedding gift of Goddess Sita’s mother to Lord Rama and goddess Sita. The temple is also called as “Sone-ke-Ghar”. In the temple Lord Rama and Goddess Sita pose with golden crown along with Lord Rama’s three brothers. The temple stands as an excellent example of ancient architecture.

Ramkot in the west of the city is dedicated to Lord Rama and it is a very popular tourist destination in India which attracts international tourists on its premise. “Ram Navami” is celebrated at a grand scale here which marks the birthday of Lord Rama; on the very day, lakhs of devotees march towards Ramkot.
Mani Prabat and Sugriv Prabat are ancient earth moulds discovered in Ayodhya. The location also had a stupa built by emperor Ashoka. According to Ramayana, Lord Hanuman carried a big mountain containing Sanjivini herb to cure the poison of Lord Lakshman in Sri Lanka, while flying in air holding the mountain a small piece of the mountain fell in Ayodhya which is believed to be Mani Prabat which is about 65-feet high. Swarg Dwar in the city is meant to the actual location of cremation of Lord Rama.
Nageshwarnath Temple in Ayodhya was built by Lord Rama’s son Kush. Shivaratri festival is celebrated at a grand scale in this temple which attracts thousands of devotees across the state. As per Hindu mythology Kush lost his armlet while bathing in River Sarayu. Kush's armlet was brought back to him by a Nag-Kanya. The Nag Kanya was devoted to Lord Shiva. Kush fell in love with Nag-Kanya and built for her this Nageshwarnath temple. This temple was said to be the only surviving location for a longer period while huge part of Ayodhya city was covered by thick forest and the rest of all was ruined. King Vikramaditya on visiting the city identified the temple and brought Ayodhya city to light.
The Sikh Gurudwaras in Ayodhya sited on Brahm Kund and Nazarbagh is said be closely associated with Sikh gurus Guru Govind Singh Ji, Guru Teg Bahadur Ji and Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
